Accounts
Accounts brings your money together: each cash, bank and card account with its balance, the movements in and out, transfers between accounts, your expenses and a VAT tab. Every expense and receipt records which account the money left from or went into, so each balance stays up to date. This is a register you keep yourself; it is not a live bank feed.

What it does.
Every account in one place
Add cash, bank, card and other accounts, each with its currency and opening balance. Bank and card accounts also take the bank name, account holder, IBAN and BIC/SWIFT.
Balance per account
Each balance is the opening balance plus money in, minus money out, with transfers in and out. Expenses, supplier payments and goods paid from an account, and customer receipts paid into it, count on their own. A cheque counts once it has cleared.
Consolidated balance
One card adds up all your accounts, with a separate total for each currency.
Movements
The Movements tab lists what went in and out of each account, and you can narrow it to one account. Record money in or out of an account with an amount, date and note.
Transfers
Move money between two of your accounts in the same currency. The Transfers tab lists every transfer.
Paid from, received into
An expense records the account the money left from, and a receipt the account it went into. In Accounts settings, choose the account cash payments and card, transfer or cheque payments are received into. With no account yet, Flow asks you to create the first one, for example Cash, and then saves.
Spent and reclaimable VAT
In the Expenses tab, the top card shows what you spent and the input VAT you can reclaim, for this month, quarter, year or all time. A ring chart shows your spending by category.
VAT worked out for you
Type the amount including VAT and the rate, and Flow shows the input VAT.
VAT treatment
Choose standard, zero-rated, exempt, EU reverse charge for services, EU acquisition of goods, or out of scope. For reverse charge, Flow self-assesses the VAT at the rate you set, in the Full Detail view.
Category, supplier and method
Record a category, the supplier or payee, and whether you paid by cash, card, transfer or another way. Pick a supplier from Purchasing to link the expense to its vendor page.
Unpaid supplier bills
Mark a supplier bill as on account and it shows an On account badge until you pay it.
Other currencies
Enter an expense in another currency with its exchange rate.
Receipt photo
Attach a photo of the receipt to the expense.
Recurring expenses
Set an expense to repeat weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly. Due copies are added when you open the Expenses tab.
Comments
Keep comments on a saved expense.
VAT tab
See your next VAT return: the period, the VAT on sales you owe, the VAT on purchases you can reclaim, what is left to pay or to reclaim, and the deadline. A second card shows the VAT for today, this month, the VAT quarter, the year or your own dates. The figures come from your invoices, credit notes and expenses, without the Accounting add-on.
Primary account
Star your main account and set the default currency for new accounts.
Excel export
Export your accounts and their entries to an Excel file with one sheet for each.
Match Revolut payments
Import a Revolut CSV statement from Settings, match incoming payments to your invoices and record the receipts.
Into your books
With the Accounting add-on set up, each expense is posted to your ledger and can be tagged to a cost centre or project. Each entry you add in Accounts is posted to the journal or linked to the entry that already records it, so you reconcile it once, and deleting it reverses its ledger entry.
